CHAMPION SERVICE

The Original Champion Service was founded in 1925 in the city of Camden, New Jersey, by the first Mr. Ralph Di Fabio. Champion operated as a repair facility, servicing many customers for two generations.
In 1969, after his tour of duty in the US Army, Mr. Ralph Di Fabio, a third generation, decided to branch out into the trucking industry. For 33 years he personally worked in all phases of transportation, from driving a tractor-trailer across the country for 12 years, to becoming the CEO of Champion Service, Inc.
In the later part of 1995 he expanded the business and opened a container depot in Camden, New Jersey, where chassis are leased and containers are stored and repaired. We are presently providing service for quite a few shipping companies that call at Philadelphia Ports and South Jersey Port Corporation.
In 1998, Mr. Ralph Di Fabio Sr. pooled forces with Shanahan Freight, another well-known and reputable transportation company that has been in the Camden, New Jersey area for over 50 years. Champion acquired their customer base and hired three key personnel with over 50 years of combined experience. With this new transportation company, Mr. Di Fabio's main target and goal was to provide excellent service to the cocoa transportation trade in the area, as well as to all other Intermodal businesses.
Champion Service also has a division of vans, flatbeds, and special equipment.
Champion Service Inc., founded by Mr. Ralph Di Fabio 1st over 75 years ago, is now a full-service transportation corporation.
